What methods of whitening are available?
You must understand your options to determine the best way to whiten your teeth. Our team is pleased to provide several methods for patients in Pensacola, Florida, to consider:
- In-office whitening. Using our in-office whitening process known as “Boost” from Ultradent, a high-prescription bleach is used on the teeth for several rounds, allowing our team the ability to whiten your smile in the practice in a single visit. In-office whitening brightens teeth several shades whiter in one appointment and is monitored from start to finish by our professionals to ensure safety and efficacy
- Take-home custom whitening trays. Impressions of the smile will be taken to create trays for both the upper and lower teeth. These are then used with take-home whitening products that lift and pull stains from deep within the natural tooth enamel. Patients use these trays as directed and for as long as they need to achieve the results they desire
- Universal whitening trays. Alternatively, patients can use our universal whitening trays and products to brighten their smiles in the comfort of their own homes. However, these trays are not customized, which can result in improper fit and function. However, this is the most economical choice outside of purchasing over-the-counter whitening kits at the local drugstore

Christopher Gomez, DDS
Studied Chemistry at Florida International University. After college, he received a US Air Force Health Professions Scholarship and graduated at the top of his class from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2012. Then, he completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Program at Keesler Air Force Base (Biloxi, Mississippi) and was stationed at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, where he served the rest of his term as a Captain. Dr. Christopher completed a year-long Comprehensive Implant Residency Program in Bessemer, Alabama, which gave him specialized knowledge on dental implants. He is currently in a 2-year orthodontic program learning to do conventional orthodontics and clear aligners.
Gina Bertuglia Gomez, DDS
Studied Psychology and Spanish Studies at the University of Delaware before attending the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she met Dr. Christopher Gomez. Upon graduation from dental school, she completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Stonybrook University, NY. She has spent the last ten years in private practice in Gulf Breeze and Pensacola, Florida. Dr. Gina always keeps the patients’ best interests at heart and treats them the same way she would treat her family.
